You know the situation. It’s time for bookkeeping and all invoices need to be checked – including the invoice for your Adwords advertising payment. But where exactly can you find them? Which button do you need to click? The process isn’t particularly intuitive, so we’ve created a short guide below to help you navigate to the right place.
Invoices cannot be set up to be sent automatically – you have to download them directly from your Adwords account. Typically, they are only generated on the 5th working day of the month.
However, you can download a payment receipt for a charge as soon as it is processed/registered. You can then print this accounting document if you wish. See below for instructions on how to do this.
Here’s how to find your Adwords invoice and payment receipt.
In the new version of Adwords, you can find your invoices as follows:

Log in to your Adwords account: https://accounts.google.com/
Check that you are logged in to the correct account.
Click on the “cogwheel” in the top right corner:

Select Billing and payments

Click on the link with the 13 digits – located under the text “VAT invoice for EU (1)”
The invoice will now be downloaded.
Print: On the right side of the line, you will see a print icon – click on the icon.
On the above page with the date lines – click on a date line to expand it.
Click on the link “Automatic payment ….”

A print-friendly version of the payment receipt will now appear.
Invoices are usually generated on the 5th working day of the month. Invoices are not generated on weekends or public holidays – so they may be available a few days later.
There must have been a payment request in the given month in order for an invoice to be generated. If this is not the case, a blank invoice or no invoice at all may be shown.
Check that the date display is correct. Review the date selector at the top to ensure the correct date range is selected. If you have further questions, you are always welcome to contact us! 🙂
